SCOPED CARBINE

OVERVIEW

Introduction to Scoped carbines is for the person looking to become more precise and accurate with their perspective carbine while also learning to stretch out to medium distances of 600 yards and closer. The goal is to maximize the capabilities of the shooter and the individual equipment they bring. Topics that are covered but not limited to are.

  • Philosophy of use.(POU)

  • Positional shooting with props.

  • Familiarization fire for extended distances.

  • Pushing the rifle to its max effective distances.

  • Positively identifying targets.

  • Gear considerations.

  • Ballistic calculator. (Kestrel or Applied Ballistics App)

PACKING LIST

  • Ability to hold a minimum of 3 mags

  • Carbine with magnified and adjustable MRAD/MOA optic

  • NO red dots and magnifiers

    **** recommend optic between a max power of 6x up to 18x…. Targets will range from 100yds to about 700yds.(weather depending) ****

  • ZERO RIFLE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL

  • Shooting bag for barricades and zero confirmation.

  • Bipods recommended/ assault pack works too for prone shooting.

  • Wet / Hot / Cold weather clothing (location and time of the year dependent).

  • Lunch, snacks, water (long day)

  • Ear pro, eye pro, IFAK

  • Lube / cleaning kit / tools for your carbine.

  • A manual for your optic or come with a strong understanding of it to include the reticle and zeroing process.

    **** AMMO: 250(+) rounds of the same style Ammo. DO NOT mix brands and bullet grain styles (75grn and 77grn match recommended) ****

  • Clip board small or large and some paper.

  • Pen/pencil.

  • Quarterback sleeve and index cards for rifle data.

  • Note taking material.
